PADDA MEP acted as Principal Electrical and Building Services Contractor for a major refurbishment project converting a former Scotland Yard police station into a modern diplomatic facility in London. We were initially appointed for the strip-out and CAT A installation, and following the building’s acquisition, were reappointed to deliver the electrical, data, life-safety and resilient-power systems through to final handover.
This project required a full transformation of an existing building, from complete strip-out through to a high-specification CAT B fit-out suitable for diplomatic use. Delivering building services for a site of this nature demanded exceptional attention to quality, resilience and coordination with multiple stakeholders throughout the programme.
The completed refurbishment now provides a modern, resilient and fully compliant diplomatic facility, supported by robust power, data and life-safety infrastructure. Our phased involvement – from initial strip-out through to final handover — ensured continuity and consistency across the full project lifecycle, delivered in line with UK building regulations.
